The idea for Swing Start came from a simple place. I began playing golf at the age of five. As I outgrew gear, my parents were reluctant to discard any of the equipment in case my younger brother or sister took an interest in the game. Fast forward about 10 years and we realized that this equipment would be better in the hands of kids that could benefit from it. I’m fortunate that my parents were able to provide the gear for me during my journey as a youth golfer. However, that’s not a luxury for every kid.

Along the way, there was a realization that our network of friends across the golf community might be in a similar position. Perhaps, we could find an easier way to collect, repair / refurbish and then redistribute golf equipment to kids developing an interest in the game.

That is our mission. That is our purpose. At Swing Start we want to be a connector between those in need and those with the means to help.
